Elysia Skye moved to Los Angeles, California from Fort Lauderdale,
Florida in fall of 2000. Before her journey west, she spent her
youth doing theatre and studying acting, singing and dancing at The
University Center for the Performing Arts. She was an active member
of her school's thespian club, mainstage theatre and annual variety
shows. After her journey west, she found representation, joined
Dennis LaValle's Actors Workshop and obtained her SAG and AFTRA cards
through small roles in film and television. In 2002-2004, Elysia
studied sketch comedy and improv with The Groundlings and Second City
and began martial arts training under Master Byong Yu.
In 2005, Elysia started her own production company, METRA
ENTERTAINMENT, and has since Produced, Written and Starred in three
short films. She joined Elizabeth Gamza's acting studio and has
continued booking supporting roles in feature films, television and
is recurring on an animated show for Turner Broadcasting's website
www.superdeluxe.com. Elysia is also part of a touring Shakespeare
company, The Independent Players and has recently performed in
Hamlet, Much Ado About Nothing and A Midsummer Night's Dream.
In September 2005, Elysia was diagnosed with stage three breast
cancer and has since written a feature length film and an
autobiography to share her story. She got her Directing debut with
her third short LOSE WEIGHT WITH CANCER, a mock infomercial selling
cancer as a weight loss product, and premiered it at Creative Artist
Agency through the generosity of Tom Hanks and Richard Lovett. Elysia is currently represented by Molly Sweet at Pantheon Talent Agency. For Production work or for more information about Elysia's
